Timothy Davy, M.D.

Dr. Davy was born in Lynch, Nebraska and raised on the family farm. After receiving his undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, he went to medical school at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. He completed a residency in Family Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1982. He subsequently became a founding member of Norfolk Family Medicine (NFM) and has practiced in that setting since that time. Since 1996 he has been involved in hospital leadership as well, becoming the first Vice President for Medical Affairs at Faith Regional Health Services, and is currently serving as the Past Chief of Staff at Faith Regional.

Other than medicine, his life has centered around his relationship with Jesus Christ and the spiritual aspect of life for himself, his family, his church and his patients. He is married to Shelley and they have three sons and four grandchildren. He has been involved in the training and sending of many missionaries and foreign workers through shared experience at NFM, with former co-workers having spent time in Hungary, Asia Minor, South Africa, Malawi, and East Asia, as well as a number of other places. His other interests include his family, music, reading, the study of leadership and leadership development, gardening, and the family farm along the banks of the Missouri River.

Ed Wicker, M.D.

Dr. Wicker grew up in Alberta, Canada, and received his medical training and specialty training at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. After finishing his training in 1994, he worked for a year in northern Alberta, then joined a practice in Lenoir, North Carolina for 5 years. He joined Norfolk Family Medicine in 2000. Dr. Wicker is Board Certified in Family Medicine in the United States and Canada, and is a member of the Nebraska Medical Association and the Alberta Medical Association.

In addition to his responsibilities at Norfolk Family Medicine, Dr. Wicker is Medical Director at St. JosephÕs Nursing Home, Golden Living Nursing Home, and the Transitional Care Unit at Faith Regional Health Service in Norfolk.

Dr Wicker is married to Kerry-Lea, and they have five children. They are involved with Christ is King Community Church and Keystone Christian Academy. They make frequent trips to visit family in Canada.

 


Amy Majchrowitz, APRN, FNP-BC

Amy is originally from Racine, Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay with an undergraduate degree in Human Biology. She then attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN where she obtained an RN and masters in nursing degree specializing in family practice. She has been a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner with Norfolk Family Medicine since 1998.

AmyÕs personal interests are watching Green Bay Packers football, training for and participating in sprint triathalons and attending spinning classes at the YMCA. She also enjoys water skiing, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.

 

Dr. Chandra Ponniah

Dr. Ponniah was born and grew up in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He received his medical training and qualified as doctor from J.J.M. Medical College, Davangere, India. To gain more knowledge about the U.S. healthcare system, he pursued a Masters in Healthcare Administration from Bellevue University, Bellevue. Currently he is completing his Family Medicine Residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. The training involves the 1st year in Omaha and the next two years in Norfolk. In Norfolk his training is at Faith Regional Health Services and Norfolk Family Medicine to gain more hands on and procedural training.

"I am fortunate to work with Dr. Wicker, Dr. Huscher and other physicians and staff who are resourceful and willing to share their vast knowledge in medicine" said Dr. Ponniah.

Dr. Ponniah is married to Lin and they have two beautiful daughters, Pareena and Nishyia. Lin is a Physical Therapist in Omaha, NE.

During my leisure time I like to read, golf and spend quality time with the family. "Even though I was not born in Nebraska I consider this my home away from home. This is a great environment for my two little girls to grow up" said Dr. Ponniah.
